Nechroma is a 2D Turn-Based Rogue-Lite RPG where players take on the role of an Adventurer in an ancient world where the undead known as Nechroms have arisen from the tombs. In this game, you navigate through a series of interconnected tombs, each filled with hordes of Nechroms, treasures, and traps. Your goal is to defeat waves of enemies while enhancing your powers through collecting ancient artefacts, powerful enchantments, and ancient spells.
This project was created during my final academic year at DigiPen. This was done in a team of 2, but mainly, everything was done by me. I've handled all the game's design, programming, sound design, to its animations.
In retrospect, this project is a product of the culmination of every skill and experience I've obtained from previous projects. There were many cut features that I wanted to implement, but due to time constraints, I had to cut down the game's content to the main gameplay flow with a few systems intact.
